A different type of movie experience in Sõprus kino (Friendship Cinema)

In 1955 the first multiplex was opened in Estonia, seating almost 800 people with two screening halls. This was the place to host Soviet cinema, meet movie makers and enjoy the bar. Time flies and changes were made, there was a time when there was a casino in the building, then a popular nightclub and a bar. As of 2010, Sõprus runs as an art-house cinema showing movies in a bit of a different setting than regular new era multiplexes. Go check it out in the Old Town at Vana-Posti 8.
